The Church Of Dave
There was a time when the girls and I would travel across the country to follow Dave Matthews Band. As a result, we've seen DMB in a variety of venues: Vancouver, Edmonton and even Ottawa.
The times may be different, but the voice remains the same.
Matt and I, along with our roommate Neil, just bore witness to an acoustic evening with Dave Matthews at Carling Academy in Birmingham. (For you Reginians, think club size à la The State.) While the view may have been less than optimal (damn this shortness!) the music was still phenomenal. From Dancing Nancies to Everyday, Crush to Crash, Lie in Our Graves and even a little All Along the Watchtower thrown into the mix ... 'nuff said.
And some info for my road trip girls? He's lost some weight and is back to the Dave we once saw, long ago. Incroyable.
